No, We Won’t Back Down!
No, we won’t back down!
Well, we will never back down.
No, we will not back down.
You can threaten us with the Hounds of Hell.
But we will not back down.
So, we will stand our ground.
We will not be turned around.
We will keep your lies from dragging us down.
We are going to stand our ground.
And we won’t ever back down
Hey America, there ain’t no easy way out.
So yeah, we’ll stand our ground.
We won’t ever back down.
Well we know what’s right.
And we will win this fight.
In a world where lies keep swirling around
We will stand our ground.
We will never back down!
Hey America, there ain’t no easy way out!
So yeah, we’ll stand our ground.
We must not back down!
Hey people, there ain’t no easy way out!
We must stand our ground.
We simply can’t back down.
No, we won’t back down!
After you read this, watch and listen to the video from a Tom Petty concert in 2012. Let your imagination transfer this to the DNC in Charlotte, NC. That is what happened on Wednesday evening. As one Republican strategist remarked, “It’s over. This is the moment Barack Obama won reelection.”
Personally, I think he is a bit premature, but I hope he is right.
Enjoy!

Consider this --
“Are we better off than we were when he took office? Listen to this, listen to this,” he said, clearly enjoying an audience hanging on his every word. “When President Obama took office, the economy was in a free fall, we were losing 750,000 jobs a month. Are we doing better than that today? The answer is yes.”
Truth will out, and we must not be fooled by the Repugnicans again!
I love your passion and conviction, Larry!
Thanks Elisa,
As Dr. King said in Strength to Love, “The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.”
He convinced me nearly 50 years ago. I am just keeping the dream alive.
Thanks again,
Larry
