“Show me heaven and I will show you hell.” The Marwills made an amazing song/ video that’s making them the talk of the rock ‘n’ roll town.

It seems that The Marwills have a knack for spewing up nostalgic rock in the vein of The Rolling Stones, JJ Cale, The Doors and Led Zeppelin. Band members are : Brett Bonvie, Jesse Morrissey, Graeme McGillivray, James Law, Adam Stevens. So how did I discover them? Graeme McGillivray and James Law are part of Canadian Celtic trio NUA. I did an interview of them in The Celtic Music Fan. This project proves to be exciting because they are able to express another aspect of their musicality that fans have never heard before. This video sums up the band’s energy. Very straightforward and it has that appeal brought about by the subtle lighting and  moving camera action.

I like the song Burn Down Easy! It is loud, melodic and complex. The Marwills came together in 2006. After 6 years of playing, the band have matured musically and continue their ever-strengthening passion for rock and roll. The band is on its way to becoming established on the scene  in Toronto. Check them out, like them in facebook and don’t forget to spread the music!
