I agree. David’s story is fascinating and inspirational. His drive is infectious and it was wonderful learning about how he got to where he is now. And do check out Mission X. There is a link to it on the link I posted. I had a little difficulty understanding all the words with the heavy accents but think you won’t have any problem with that.

Excellent intro and interview. You got this spot on with the questions you asked and it’s especially interesting to read how David started up and progressed, fits in well with the ethos of Expats -- and you’ve got me wanting to see this film. Some wise, down to earth advice from David for those considering making their own films and what to expect -- $5000 to make a film is amazing but shows if you have desire to do something then money shouldn’t be an obstacle. Great job on this, hope to read more interviews in the future.

Thank you, Julian. I was a little hesitant to try interviewing for the first time, but there was just something more I wanted to know about this filmmaker when I saw his video status. I am luckily and grateful he was so open and willing to chat with me.

It is also great to be able to share his work and what he is doing with the world. I believe it will help a great many people, not just in the film industry, to read about someone like David. When anyone has a passion, drive and discusses with others how they achieve their goals is always inspirational.

It was also fun to try my hand at interviewing. Pushing yourself within your passion is one of the greatest joys. I think most creative people understand that.

Oohhh loved reading this! You did an excellent job in interviewing David, Katy. It was very cool to have a better insight in how a filmmaker like David works and how he brings his movie to the “masses” hehe. I particularly loved his reply to “Filmmaking now is vastly different.”…I can totally relate to this as I can bring it to illustrating as well. Everyone can have access to social media and tools, but you do need to give it a unique twist so you get noticed.

“Well, I guess I do have a “Dream”, but it will be backed up by “action.” ” -- I would call this realistic dreaming…something I firmly believe in
