The Water And The Words

The Sacrament

The Power and  Beauty of Water

“Love and Gratitude” ~
I breathe into the
Glass of water that
Stands before me ~

I am told that
These are words
Of great power ~
And I feel a tremor
Of something ~
Within the glass ~
Delicate and subtle
But surely there ~

I reinhale my words
And the warmth of
My breath ~ and
I drink every drop ~

I feel as though I
Have been administered
A sacrament ~ of great
Beauty and significance ~

And I am filled
With peace and a
Sense of belonging ~
As if ~ at long long last
I have come home ~

This was inspired by my recent reading of “The Hidden Messages in Water” by Masaru Emoto.

About the Author:

Born in a small, Illinois log cabin. No, that won't work. The pampered only child of incredibly wealthy parents. No, that doesn't fly either. Raised by French nuns after her aristocratic parents were beheaded. No, that's been done! An East Coast transplant to the Pacific Northwest, this notoriously late bloomer began her new life with a new career as a writer and blogger. She has taken to both the new location and the career move like a duck to water. Writing for Expats Post is a new adventure, and our intrepid risk-taker is diving in, feeling right at home with so many old friends.
Reached for comment she replied, "Okay, I wrote my bio, may I Please go out and play?"
We expect great, or perhaps merely more coherent, things from this writer. (Okay, that's a wrap. What a wacko!)

  • Lovely.

  • Dani, thank you. I was a little nervous. This one is pretty personal.

  • The power of water is undeniable. The energy you gave to your little glassful demonstrates a new way we may feel the power inwardly.

  • Right, Theresa. I’ve now added Dr. Masaru Emoto to my Heroes list. He’s in very good company -- with the Dalai Lama and Dr. Stephen Hawking. You should try it. Be warned that, in my case at least, there are side effects of happiness and laughing!
