The Wait
[media-credit name="Courtesy of Creative Commons " align="alignright" width="225"]
[/media-credit]Preparing for a future that’s within reach but not yet close enough
Rage fades into nothingness when silence becomes the only option
Trust shrinks and becomes hidden under layers of gossamer
Dreams evolve from light-filled images to ashen facsimiles
Avoiding the wanted path to protect the innocent
The heart is drained of all passion for the other
Respect is lost, never to return again
Endurance becomes the lead task
To allow the dream to mature
Never to give up or let go
The future is close
Patience.

Ah the first sentence just captures it all for me. I could just feel a bunch of emotion hidden in there. The Wait could be over before you know…but one has to wait till that moment arrives. Oh brother. I didn’t mean to sound all cryptic, but can’t think of another way to describe it hehe.
Loved this one.
I am so glad you liked this. Yeah, I agree, the first line sort of says it all but doesn’t the last line as well?
Waiting is the hardest part but also where you learn the most. Cryptic? You? Never
Thanks, TJ.
The last one totally says it all as well, but had to pick one as you know me and rambling on and on haha.
Wait! You ramble?
It’s a secret I keep hidden like ALL TIMES!!
(hahahaha)
I have never been the patient sort Miss Katy…but I have gotten better as I’ve aged. LOL I like that the will to overcome and achieve overrides the sadness here. Yay!
Thanks Dani. I am NOT a patient person, but I am VERY stubborn. So when I have to wait for something I really want -- I wait and learn to take it day by day with a smile. Plus, I fill the time up with movies…hehe
