It was one of those investigations that went along the way it should and had a proper ending, the way you want them all to turn out. Not all do. But I became emotionally invested in this one. I didn’t allow that to surface but once the investigation was over, I literally felt weak-kneed. I have a photo they took of me with the hierarchy at HQ. Believe me when I tell you, I look as sick as I felt.
