On Wednesday, February 27, 2013, during the hearing on the Voting Rights Act. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said that the Voting Rights Act was perpetuating a “racial entitlement. Thus, Injustice Scalia [aka James Crow, Esquire] adds to his glorious legacy of bigotry and pigheadedness.

Our eyes still see injustice in every town, city and state.
In prisons filled with innocents and court rooms filled with hate.
Despite every stride toward freedom the hostility won’t abate.
So the movement’s moving on.

Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
The movement’s moving on.

You are the true subversive,
and you still strive to kill the dream.
In a world pillaged by greedy bigots
you are among the most extreme!

Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
The movement’s moving on.

You never care to listen,
to the cries for help or right.
You sit in your quiet chambers
and disregard the fight.

Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
The movement’s moving on.

Your smirking face and gleaming teeth
betray your toxic guile.
You tip the scales of justice
to serve the vicious, venal, and the vile!

Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
Move on over! Or we’ll move on over you!
The movement’s moving on.

You conspire to oppress us and confine us to a slum,
you try to steal our right to vote,
but we will not be denied and will someday overcome.
For the movement’s moving on!

Isn’t it ironic that Scalia made that comment on the same day Rosa Parks’ statue was unveiled in the National Statuary Hall?

Irony is putting it mildly. I wish the statue would come to life and put a whipping on this Klansman.
