Patriot’s Heart
Two men contend – rival visions,
It’s an epochal clash – venting fears and frustrations,
Bravely we hold onto our hopes – there is so much at stake.
Seems our future’s up against the ropes.
Does the world understand?
Is it Wealth versus Skill, or man against man,
Can any leader stand – alone?
In the Patriot’s heart – just about to burst,
There’s a quest for answers, an unquenchable thirst,
In the fiercest fight – struggling to aspire,
In the Patriot’s heart – burns the undying fire.
In the American code – there’s no surrender,
Though everybody says stop – the noble spirit cries – Never!
Deep in one’s soul a glowing ember,
Knows it’s false against true, it’s that
Anomaly that drives us on -
It’s a battle of wills, in the midst of attack,
Lurks the passion that kills -
And victory can’t be won alone!
In the Patriot’s heart – just about to burst,
There’s a quest for answers, an unquenchable thirst,
In the fiercest fight – struggling to aspire,
In the Patriot’s heart – burns the undying fire.
