No Longer

| “Dublin Bay” Patrick Naughton |
Standing above the world
Splatter of rain beating beneath my feet
The drama that caused these tears will never repeat
For I will no longer weep
No longer welcome in the world you see
I wish I could have said it again
The simplest words that can save
I love you
So keep away
Move on
Because I cannot stay

Hey! I didn’t know you had made it on to Expats. Welcome
I feel like there are a few different ways one could interpret this. I think that’s the beauty of poetry- it can be whatever you want it (or need it) to mean.
Well done!
Benjamin,
Another wonderful poem. Keep them coming.
