Who would have thought there would be such a petty world of politics surrounding the administration of online arts forums?
I have been banned from at least five arts forums in the past week for calling for submissions for this very blog.
I am flabbergasted. For merely wanting to bring to light new talent – artists, writers, musicians – I have a virtual cross daubed in red paint across my virtual door.
I complained to one, asking ‘ what have I done wrong? I am the furthest thing from spam you could find.’ Of course, I wasn’t graced with a response.
I thought the ethos of these forums was to share, and improve talent?
Have a unearthed an unsettling trend of suppression of sorts?
