Dani,

The ravenous pursuit of profit at the expense of everything else has become the hallmark of business, especially financial business, today.

With all the purported Christians among the American electorate, why aren't the admonitions against the "money changers" and the rich men and the eye of a needle ringing in their ears and at the forefront of their minds?

Good piece!

Dan I feel as you do.. and I hope my articles will get more people to switch. We need to realize our individual dollars matter as a collective. They can't do this to us if we refuse to bank with them period. Thank you so much for taking the time to read and comment. You are so appreciated. :)

Big corporations will saturate markets, when most of the local businesses close they then they pull back to the level of support they feel they need in a particular community. They know that smaller players can't match their onslaught.

What I don't understand is why more people don't support Credit Unions, and make these bank ass hats irrelevant. I've been banking with Credit Unions my whole life, and they simply don't play these games.

Thank you Garry.. I couldn't agree more. I was half tempted to make my own picket sign and go out there myself. I don't know that it would do any good..but it was a thought. We don't keep any money in the bank except what we need to pay bills with, and I don't see that changing..cause quite honestly..I don't know who I can trust. Very sad. I so appreciate you. :)

As usual the banks continue to be completely out of touch with reality, well, the public's reality..where are people getting the money to even deposit in banks just now. There was a great TV programme on in the UK the other week that showed that public trust in banks had completely plummeted, especially with the Libor interest rate fixing scandal. They have been found out as acting like criminals and duping the public and all of the big banks were in it together, they were making money so why rock the boat even though they all knew what they were doing was illegal. Strange how most criminals will be prosecuted in a court of law but the bankers seem to be above this. Scumbags is an understatement.
