I managed to choose 5 out of 9 correct at the Independent Spirit Awards on yesterday/Saturday . 5/9 = 55.6% with the same categories but not as many at the Oscars. I choose 3 out of 9 correct 3/9 = 33% . A great many exceptional films in which to decide who would take home the Oscar as well as the Spirit Award. Well . there is always next year. I wonder what kind of mix and what may be happening in politics in the film industry as well as in the rest of the country and the world. With luck we will be inside of a battle of good vs the dark side & good will once again regain it’s higher position of governance. “. . . have a new birth of freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish . . .” – j.k ps. What a crazy & grand Oscar Ceremony it was. I am pleased with all the winners. It was a success even if I choose differently in some cases. I have no problems at all with the winners of the Gold Statues.

Ceremony was Live Sunday 4th March 2018 . Moved to March to accommodate the Olympics in South Korea otherwise telecast is usually in February.
