An Open Letter to my Women Friends who Support Romney/Ryan

I am both sickened and appalled that any woman would support a political platform that seeks to take away a woman’s right to make choices about her own body, even in the case of rape and incest!!! This has nothing to do with Republicans per se I am not a hater. I do not believe that all Republicans are bad, just as not all Democrats are good. There is good and bad in everything. My issue is that religion has become involved in an arena where it clearly has no business! Our own Constitution guarantees not only freedom of religion but freedom from religion. I have no problem with you expressing your freedom to believe whatever misguided unfounded thing you choose; what I have a problem with is you using our hard won right to vote in the first place, to impose your views on me!!! How fucking dare you!!! If you don’t believe in abortion don’t have one! Maybe you have never been raped, and maybe daddy never snuck into your room in the middle of the night to get his kicks and it resulted in you having to give birth to your own brother or sister, but many women have. How dare you think it is your right or anyone’s to make choices for these women who never gave their consent! How dare you think it is your right to decide what any woman does with her body in any case! It simply isn’t your right! I personally believe every rape victim should be offered the morning after pill. It should be standard procedure in my opinion. At a time when other countries are becoming ever progressive we have a segment of our population that wants to take our own country backward. Maybe you think that because you support the other things these guys stand for that you will just not vote for this one thing… wake up women of America these bald face liars are not on your side! They are seeking power and control not just over the country but over you! For those of you who are truly deluded my diatribe will serve only to reinforce how deluded you believe I am. In that case I can only hope that Karma swiftly returns to you that which seek to put onto others!

thank you so much Larry for commenting. It does need to be said. I just hope people are listening. sighs..
The important thing here is that you’re not bitter. LOL
The thing about voting is, some people won’t. Some people do because they’re “supposed to,” some people vote for their party no matter what just because their parents did…or their spouses do. Some people just catch a buzzword now and then and vote according to that.
Very few people listen to everything, study, research candidates past performances and vote on THAT.
And THAT is how we got into this mess we’re in today.
America used to be the land of opportunity.
Then it was the land that offered opportunity, but didn’t guarantee success.
Now I’m not convinced we can even offer opportunity.
