avatar Frank Brinkman (10 Posts) Retired after 42 years working for a major I/T company in technical, programming, customer service and management positions. Since retiring I have been enjoying hobbies of painting and wirewrapping semi-precious stones for necklaces. I have been writing prose and stories for ten years. Since retiring I have met some extraordinary writers who have encouraged me. I look forward to continuing to write and help others to do the same.

Sometimes I deliberately stop and think how differently my life turned out from what I thought it would be. Then like you, Frank, the most random thing will catch my eye and turn my thoughts. I’ve gotten some of my most significant insights each way.

Frank I really like your analogy of life and ribbons. Both twist and turn but most often turn out beautifully.
